"The journey from author to film maker is as daunting as it is exhilarating, and probably the best decision I made throughout the entire process was an unyielding commitment to work only with people I trust and respect. There is so much at stake here, and I have been treading on such unfamiliar ground, I firmly believe that anything less would have been the perfect formula for disaster.
I met Deborah through, of all places, Facebook. After having read Finding Emmaus, book one of my trilogy, Deborah e-mailed me asking if she could send me one of her screenplays, an action/adventure named Garradin – The Stolen World. My initial reaction was one of apprehension.
I have recently been forced to acknowledge a very sad fact of my life: I cannot read plays and I cannot read screenplays. Well, of course I can read them, but I find them very difficult to follow. I have a hard time ‘getting into’ a script the way I do a book. Something is obviously missing in me, some internal mechanism which would otherwise allow me to comprehend and appreciate a script or play with the same depth of emotion with which I understand the rolling narrative of a novel. Must be a some defect in my DNA. I’m missing that gene. Just as some folks will never wiggle their ears and others will never roll up their tongues to resemble a bakery pastry, I just don’t read screenplays right (*sigh*).
It was therefore a combination of surprise, relief and then great delight when I realized, part-way into Garradin, that I was quite literally sitting on the edge of my seat, unable to stop turning the pages.
After a short negotiation, we were on our way. And in less than a month, I held in my hands the gift of a lifetime: my first movie, Finding Emmaus.
I am now in negotiation with two producers and I am unreservedly convinced that that is due to Deborah’s passion, hard work and professionalism. I have no doubt whatsoever that it will be a long time before I encounter another person with as much talent, as much enthusiasm and as much integrity as this woman.
If you have Deborah write your screenplay, you will have no better person in your corner. She does more than simply ‘create’. She gets personally involved in every project she works on. Deborah Louise Robinson will do everything she can to make your project into the very best work of art it can be." -- Pamela S. K. Glasner [http://www.lodestarre.com] - Finding Emmaus

"Deborah’s knowledge and creative charm are nothing short of amazing. Since I was a kid I always loved the movies, and when I began writing Odyssey Bourne Force I naturally wanted it to become a big time movie. I’m now far too old to grow up! OBF had potential, and Deborah saw that potential. She took the bull by the horns and morphed a complex story, into a commercially viable screenplay. She made it so easy, and that is because she is a natural. I can’t wait until it reaches the silver screen! She saw it through my eyes and upped the stakes by adding her own unique angle. I love it. Remember her name, as this lady will take Hollywood by storm." -- Debbie Renner [http://www.debbierenner.com] - Odyssey Bourne Force

“Deborah has been a pleasure to work with and from the very first time we met. She has been nothing but accommodating. Since this was my first experience in screenplay writing, she made it easy for me to understand, had no problems making any changes suggested, and was very informative as to what I needed to include or pay attention to and what was not important. It was difficult at first to change my story for a screenplay but her imagination and understanding of that made it much easier. Living it, my story that is, and reading it through someone else's eyes has been a truly enjoyable experience. Deborah was nothing less than a true professional throughout the entire process and I look forward to working with her again in the future.” -- Alesia Shute [http://www.everythingsokaybook.com] - Everything's Okay

"I found Deborah to be very professional, easy going, and friendly. She took the time to ask questions to make sure what we needed was being done, so that all parties were happy and working towards the same goals. We are working with Deborah on more of our projects as she has done a great job and we at The Way Forward Productions would recommend her to our other clients. We feel Deborah was fair with her pricing for the quality of work we received, which we are very proud of."-- Jason Cook [The Way Forward Productions] - There's no Room for Jugglers in My Circus, The Gangster's Runner, A Nice Little Earner

"I want to thank Deborah for the incredible work she did on my screenplay. Deborah captured the true essence of the emotions like she was in the room at the time it happened. I was amazed at the outcome of her work. She is very dedicated and I feel Deborah has mastered the art of novel adaptations. It won't be long before her name is on the "Silver Screen" of Hollywood. Thank you, Deborah for bringing my story to life." -- Pastor Michelle Fordyce [MichelleFordyce.com] - Only God Knows Why
